Rising to a Higher Power

This painting is about the power of man tied to the earth vs. the power of God that has no bounds. The power lines represent two things, man’s limited power and Jesus’ death for us on the cross. Both power and death being connected to the earth. The dove represents God’s limitless power even over death.

If you’re not religious, consider this a lovely study in color, line, and space. It works either way.

This series also allows me to explore these power lines that are rapidly becoming a thing of the past.
