God is love, and love is the only reason we do truly difficult things.
When one has a child, it is an act of sacrifice, it is love.
This love is more than duty, it is the cry of despair when our loved one falls and a song of the heart when they fly.
This love is a ribbon of light that comes from heaven and knits our hearts together through the good and bad times.
It is like the Milky Way, a ribbon of light sprinkled through the darkness.
Love can be comforting but it also can be painful. That is why this Yellow Warbler family nest is built on an olive tree, with thorns, just like Jesus’ crown of thorns. They built their home on sacrifice and love.
Jesus’ sacrifice and everlasting love made it so we could come to Earth and build our homes.
Our lives may be resting on thorns, but our heart song will lift us to the Heavens.
